The 1st GB.net FAN VIDEO CHALLENGE

	The First Ever GBnet Fan Video Challenge was to submit a video based on Enthusiasm and Originality that included: Musical Interpretation & Matching Character Interpretation Clean Editing Overall Concept One of Gerry's Movie/TV Series Characters was to be use with a song that included Lyrics. The intent of this Fan Video Challenge was to use the most available Video Editor around, Windows Movie Maker, so that new Video Authors might emerge with a first time attempt and the more seasoned Video Editors would be challenged to use their most elemental skills in this CHALLENGE. The Judges considered fully and made some deductions for any deviation from the rules. The rules stated on GB.net were: Song should not be instrumental in this challenge No Special effects such as layering, color enhancements, polarizing, split screens, masking, etc No Fancy transitions allowed - only simple fade in/fade out or easy dissolve effects are allowed. No changing of the video to black and white, only original footage please. No Photoshopping or photo manipulations Slow Motion will be allowed .. So, again Slow-Mo will be allowed as it’s basic in WMM, as will Clip Flipping (mirror image) and Pan & Zoom , too. The main effects we want to avoid in giving a level playing field are overlays, cookie cutter and the like that are only available in editing software like Vegas.
